Scholarship Program Information

The Rotary Club of Burney is announcing its 2012 Scholarship Program.

The club is offering only vocational scholarships to any community member who is seeking education or training to support a vocational objective that can be utilized within the inter-mountain area. The total scholarship fund for this year is $4000.00. Scholarships will be granted in amounts of $500 and $1000 based on applicant need. Previous Rotary Scholarship winners who are continuing their studies are eligible to apply.

The Rotary Club is seeking to support training and educational goals that are most likely to be used here in the inter-mountain area. Occupations in areas such as (but not limited to) Fire Prevention, Health Care, Auto/Diesel Mechanics, Law Enforcement, Heavy Equipment Operation/Repair, etc.

Any member of the inter-mountain area, from graduating high school seniors to those seeking training for a career change or for career advancement in a current job is eligible.

Successful applicants will be determined based on their application and an interview by Rotary members. The deadline for submitting applications is April 15, 2012.

The Rotary Club will place applications at Fall River & Burney Jr./Sr. High Schools, fire departments, Mayers Memorial Hospital, Doctor’s and Dentist offices and clinics. Applications may also be obtained at these local businesses or from any Rotary Member:

·  Trish Van Dyke DDS
